POWERFLAME - Flame Hardening Machine
General Description
The POWERFLAME has been specifically designed to flame harden Hot and Friction Saw Blades after grinding. The machine has been developed to compliment the POWERGRINDER in steel mills and repair centres. Like all of the machines in the Spear & Jackson range, the POWERFLAME provides strength and durability, accommodating blades from 1000mm up to 2400mm in diameter (40 - 94 inches). The automated cycle ensures that hardening the saw teeth is a quick and simple operation and requires the minimum of operator supervision. Adjustable functions for different blade diameters, flame temperature and rotation speed ensures consistent hardening of any tooth profile.

Burner System

Quench System

Burner Positioning System
- Coarse adjustment of radial position of burner by slide arrangement
- Fine radial adjustment of burner by knurled screw
- Axial burner adjustment by hand wheel
- Bearing mounted blade follower to ensure consistent hardening across the face of each tooth
Electrical System
- Supply voltage to suit customer requirements
- Control system voltage 110 volts
- Auto gas shut off after one rotation, (operator resets system when satisfactory heat treatment is established)
- Enclosures for electrical and gas equipment
- Controls provided for blade rotation on/off, water pump on/off, also reset counter and emergency stop
